An approved growth precinct

One of the biggest planned communities in Melbourne's north.

Wallan South is a Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) precinct. Technical studies and community co‑design were completed between 2019 and 2022. The project was paused in October 2024 and is scheduled to recommence in Horizon 2 of the state's 10‑year greenfields plan (2025/26–2028/29).

When delivered, the precinct is envisioned to include around 7,000 homes, a local town centre, up to seven school campuses and a connected green‑spine of open space — all framed as envisioned outcomes, subject to the final PSP.
